I finally got approval to liquidate our two company owned vehicles. (It took a full 3 months for management to do this..)
First is a 2003 Yukon XL that is going to be a good deal for someone. CarMax appraised it at $3000 and “we” are asking $4500. I can almost guarantee $3500 will take it.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Then there’s one of these things.
I do not like this thing. I do not understand this thing. It needs tires and a few small fixes, runs and drives great and the interior is perfect.
I may buy this thing..
Carmax appraised it at $1200. I may offer $800 because they seem motivated to sell.
What say you? Buy it or save some cash, keep fixing Crusty and buy something good later?

Burn it with copious amounts of fire.

Buy it
Then push it off a cliff with multiple go pros mounted inside and outside the vehicle
Post it on YouTube and make money off the views Demuro style

But why would they sell it to you for less than the carmax offer?

$1200 for a Pacifica? And you didnt hand them the keys immediately because why?
In all seriousness though, I never realized how harsh the market was for those things...werent they luxury-ish crossovers? Maybe the used car market by me is just a bit harsh...

Honestly? I would buy it at that price if you intimately know the history.

My in-laws rented one of those Pacificas a few years ago for a week and loved it...

It’s an insider thing.

All the ones in the Tristate area are full of transmission issues.

It’s just not that good. You can tell they tried making it nice but it was definitely built to a price.

That’s what I’m thinking. I have all service records from new and it wouldn’t make a bad beater.

Then definitely do it. When I sat in one it didn't seem so bad.

I honestly never paid any attention to them. Not my style at all....I know people who had them, but I never had an opinion on them, didn’t care to develop one...

If that Yukon had middle row buckets I may have bought it. We are ready for a truck like that but it rather the kids pass through the middle then climb over.
2-3 kids in rear and possibly 2 pumpkin seats in the middle. So my wife would be maxed out some days.
She is watching a neighbor's kid one day & her sisters baby 3-5 days/ week, along with sisters other & our 2. Got to get something figured out by mid March, sad thing is we'll likely end up with a mini van.

That’s a lot of kids!
Minivan is probably best. Lucky they aren’t as bland as they used to be.

Well I want a suburban for towing.

What do you think the bottom dollar is on the Yukon?

$3000 but it’d have to sit for two weeks minimum to get there. I’m the first contact so I can filter a bit.
I do have all service records since new.

Well it’ll probably sell before then.
